Late 14 week pictures

Here are the 14 week pictures. We took them on Friday but forgot to post. The first is the official picture but the second shows that he was starting to smile but unfortunately, the task of getting him to smile and taking the picture made for cutting off the edge of his face. Oh well. Enjoy!

Bedtime for H

We've finally figured out that Henry needs to go to bed early each night, really early. We used to think that the later he stayed up the longer he would sleep because he'd be tired. We would be wrong in that fact. Tonight he went to bed at 7:00 so we weren't able to get his weekly picture. However, I did get a picture of him and his Dad helping with his bedtime routine. I guess we'll get the weekly picture tomorrow.

More Pictures of 'H'

Henry is still pretty camera shy and doesn't seem to smile when the camera comes out. However we still keep taking pictures hoping we'll catch a smile. The first picture is Henry talking and smiling with me, which he loves to do while "sitting up."


Saturday morning it was 33 degrees here so he was trying out some cold weather apparel.

Then today the weather was nice and more fall like so the whole family took a nice walk together.

Life goes on....

Here's the 13 week picture. We did take it last night but didn't have time to post it. This week was our first full week back to work. The beginning was a bit rough for Henry (and for me-Tina) but by Thursday things were going better. Henry continues to grow and change so quickly. He's now batting and sometimes grabbing for things. He smiles quite a bit but it seems every time we get the camera out, he stops. Some day we'll have a smiling Henry for the weekly pictures.

12 Weeks

Here we are at 12 weeks, which I guess is essentially 3 months. Though it isn't really because he was born on the 14th and it's only the 6th. Weird. Anyway, it's been an eventful and tiring week as Tina and I have been back to work. He is also going through his 3 month growth spurt (we think) which just means that the already voracious eater is even hungrier. This picture was taken tonight immediately after his bath.

Some fun this week

So, this Labor Day weekend we decided to spend time at home relaxing. The weather was beautiful so Friday night we all went to the terrace at the University for some ice cream and some nice lake views. This was Henry's first trip there. Recently he loves to ride in his stroller and just take in all the sights and sounds.

Also, earlier this week Henry was being fussy and tired of looking at things in our house so I decided to pull out a book and see if he'd listen. I guess I'm an uneducated parent because I didn't realize that an 11 week old child may really like books already. So, lately we've been reading a few books, mainly those with really bright, interesting pictures. He seems to love it, even when he's fussy. Here Derek is reading Goodnight Moon to him, but he seems to like Eric Carle books as well. (at least judging by the amount of eye action!)
