Spring Break

We just returned from a nice quick spring break trip. The weather did not cooperate at all but we were able to spend time with wonderful friends and family who we wished we could see more often. Here's a brief summary.

We spent the weekend in Chicago with Lisa, Breck and Eliza. They were wonderful hosts and Henry and Eliza played amazingly well together. Here is Henry at the conservancy in Chicago where we went to escape the nasty winter weather.

Same place--now a family picture. Not sure what Henry is doing with his face there.

Henry watering the plants.
Just too cute. We don't have a lot of pictures of Eliza because she did not like Derek's big camera. I think it's hilarious but there were many times where he'd try to get a shot and she'd spy him.

Next we traveled on to southern Indiana. We stayed at a state park lodge with an indoor waterpark. The water was cold and it was crowded so unfortunately we did not go there very much and I didn't get any pictures. We did spend quality time with great Grandpa Henry and great Grandma Frances. Here the Henrys are playing harmonica together.

This made a big impression on Henry (the little one) because he was just amazed at Grandpa Henry.
Playing with second cousin Annabell.

Playing with a bunch of second cousins. So crazy how close they are in age.

Random pictures

Playing piano with friends.

New bed for an old dog. Zoe tends to melt in there when there is a lot of action going on in the house--balls flying, cars racing, etc.

Helping clean on the weekend.

Fixing his tricycle. This past weekend Henry and Derek changed the oil in the car but I didn't think to get a picture of it. He definitely likes to help with mechanical things and has tons of questions.

A visit to the zoo on a warm day a few weeks ago.

Henry quote

While eating breakfast this morning.
H: The granola is going down into my belly and then into my pistons.
Me: You mean your intestines?
H: Oh yeah, intestines.
