Week 36 - mid February

It's mid February and that can only mean one thing, Church retreat. Which of course means that we'll also have some sort of winter weather disaster. So I guess that's two things. Anyway, we had our (much needed) retreat last weekend and we also had a decent ice/snow storm.

Since we were out of town I didn't think to take a weekly picture. Therefore I thought I'd use some of the pictures from the last week. Some of the last shots were actually shot by our nanny (never thought I'd say  those last two words). Among other things she's a decent photographer and she snapped some of these pics a couple of days ago.

We'll start with some shots of the older brother (you never know what you're going to get with a 3.5 year old).

And then a couple of Hans.

Another great picture of the two of them. I hope you won't mind me saying that these are some darn cute boys.

Weeks 34 and 35

Busy round here. I (Derek) went back to work full time a couple of weeks ago, last week Tina started a new job that she is loving so far. I'm falling asleep at the keyboard so I'll get to posting some pictures.

This is my new favorite boys picture.
Hans has started to show interest in this jumper. He seems to enjoy the freedom.

Lots of Hans Pics - Here's week 34 and 35 back to back.

Weeks 32 and 33.

Just finished week 34. Kinda forgot to take the picture today so that'll be coming tomorrow sometime. We (like the rest of country) have had quite the winter weather as of late. Wednesday we had a snow day after getting about 12 inches of blowing snow on top of the 6 that had fallen on Tuesday. It was quite messy.

Now for the good stuff. Pictures.

This would be the week 32 picture of Mr. Hans. He's starting to get some hair, opinions and definitely some mobility.

I. Love. This. Picture. So much expression. This had to be the week 33 picture.

Nice shot of the two boys together. When they're both in the right mood they can be quite funny together and already do a decent job of entertaining one another.
Henry got a special package in the mail from my uncle Ray. It contained two cars and some pictures of the real versions of these cars. Thanks Ray.
Henry made 'gingerbread sharks' from playdough and then tried to carry all of them on one arm (and his neck).
Snowy chicken coop. They seem unimpressed.
It was as awkward as it looks. Hans was  unimpressed.
Henry and Levi had a lot of fun playing on the snow pile in front of our house. This was BEFORE the blizzard.
FYI, knit mittens don't do well in the snow.

Reasons we haven't been updating the blog

1. Derek is back to school working again.
2. I (Tina) have a new job that I start on February 7th.
3. We can't do the childcare swap we normally do because of #2 so we've been searching for childcare to start by Feb. 7. Yikes. I think we have found someone though.
4. Derek put a new/different photo editing software on our computer and I don't like it--thus no pictures on this post either. (though we do have weekly shots just waiting to be uploaded!)
5. It seems like at least one or more people in this house have been sickly constantly since Christmas so sleep is not the best (it's mainly been Hans and I).

Here's hoping that mid February brings a little less chaos than the last part of January! We'll get pictures posted one of these days. Stay tuned.
