Week 50

Very late this week but the picture is from last Thursday.  Sorry the xylophone was the only way to keep him in the chair.  

Henry was helping me make cookie bars one evening.  I remember helping my mom in the kitchen all the time as a kid.  Hopefully Henry will continue to enjoy that time together.

Here we are reading Henry and Levi's favorite book right now, at least it's the one they both bring to me the most to read.  I'm learning a lot about excavators, scrapers, fire engines, etc. (Levi was very interested until the camera came out!)

Henry also enjoys helping Dad with projects.  Here they are finishing up putting his new rocking chair together.

Week 49

Week 49 picture is here. Had to use the book to keep him entertained long enough for the picture. Otherwise, he was attempting to crawl out of the chair. There's just enough mischief in this grin to make us a little nervous.Here's a funny picture of the boys looking out the window. I'm sure it looks funny from outside.

Today we took Henry to the zoo for the first time. He wasn't SUPER amazed and excited by the animals, but he seemed to enjoy being outside. Here's a picture of him as a Polar bear. This was as far as i could get his head into the cutout.


Apparently, Henry is a little more than knee high to a Polar bear. According to the numbers on the pole he's about 2' 4". Following our little trip to the zoo we stopped at the library, he was MUCH more excited about the library than he was about the zoo. I guess that's a good thing.

When I take walks or go shopping with both Henry and Levi, so many people comment on the cute "twins" or "brothers."   Sometimes I explain that they aren't really related (okay I guess they are distantly with Kathy and Derek).  Sometimes I just smile and walk on.  This week they were even coordinated with outfits by chance.   I guess it was overall week!

Henry loves his wagon rides now.

He's never been a big fan of his tray on his highchair so many times we just let him sit up at the table to eat.  After this morning at breakfast, I'm not sure that will be continuing since we had to wipe off his face, hands AND his feet which were all covered in yogurt, apple and waffle pieces.

Week 48

This weeks pictures shows off the teeth that aren't giving Henry grief.  Still working on some teeth which has caused for some less-than-restful nights.  While he's awake, Henry if very busy crawling, pulling up on everything and cruising along the couch, table and any other cruise-able surface.

Now that it's warm out, we've been spending even more time outside.  Henry loves to look out the front door and doesn't seem to mind sharing the window space with Zoe.  Derek tried to get a picture of both but Zoe doesn't stay long.

We seem to spend a lot of time in the kitchen--cooking and cleaning up from cooking.  Henry amuses himself by emptying out some cabinets and the recycling bin.

One new favorite outdoor activity is sitting on his borrowed car (on loan from neighbor Kathi until her granddaughter can use it).  He can't push himself yet but loves to beep the horn and be pushed a bit.  He also just loves to sit there and watch the cars, bikes, people, dogs, etc. go by.  Many times we walk out the front door he sees the car and promptly says "Ca." (one of his words he says without help)

Week 47

Another week goes by and I didn't post any other pictures.  I'll post this weeks picture now and maybe more later this weekend.  Henry is busy moving everywhere.  It's quite fun to just watch him crawl around, get into things, pull up on things, etc.  He really is enjoying the fact that he can go get Zoe whenever he likes.  She seems to be okay with this so far.

Week 46

Just a quick post of this weeks picture.  Not so great but the best we could get while trying to keep him in the chair.  I hope to post more later.
