It's spring (sort of) so here are some pictures
Again we have failed to keep up to date on the blog. I'm sure down the road when Hans begins to compare how he was treated to the way we treated Henry this permanent record keeping will come back and bite us. Some highlights with the boys.
Henry is increasingly helpful (and sometimes argumentative). He continues to amaze us with his memory, thoughtful questions and sensitivity. He also is LOVING riding his bike and continues to get more adventurous. We did a little hiking on mother's day (pics below) and he had a great time riding off road.
Hans is increasingly mobile and energetic. The 'little bugger' is into everything, pulling up on things he shouldn't pull up on, climbing stairs he shouldn't climb and wanting things he can't have. He's also a cut up. It seems he already takes great pride in getting one of us to laugh. He really enjoys feeding himself (cheese is a big favorite). He has sprouted two teeth so far and is probably no more than 2 weeks away from walking (already stands for a bit without holding on to things).
The last three pictures are shots of our house. In case you didn't know, we are moving. Anybody wanna buy a house? It comes with a matching chicken coop (and we'll throw in 5 laying hens).

Poor neglected blog
We are so far behind that it's going to take more than one post to update. So for now here are some rather old weekly pictures. As far as development goes, we are behind on documenting that. Around 8 months old Hans started the belly drag crawl then progressed to normal crawling. He is now very fast and pulls up on everything. Last night we took his push cart outside and he was just giggling and practically running behind it. We are guessing that he may be walking before he is one year old based on what he is doing at 10 months. We hope to upload some video too of crawling, walking with help and his recent joy--playing the piano. Stay posted and we guarantee we won't wait another full month to post again.

Week 37-39
We're so behind I'm not even sure we're on the right week. Life is busy and updating this just has fallen behind. We do take the pictures though. Here is the proof. Also, Hans has us on the run. About 3 weeks ago he started with the dragging belly, army crawl and within one week was up on his knees. Now he is fast, pulling up on things and making life interesting.
Not an official weekly picture but another one our nanny took that I just love. Such a classic Hans expression.

Week 36 - mid February
It's mid February and that can only mean one thing, Church retreat. Which of course means that we'll also have some sort of winter weather disaster. So I guess that's two things. Anyway, we had our (much needed) retreat last weekend and we also had a decent ice/snow storm.
Since we were out of town I didn't think to take a weekly picture. Therefore I thought I'd use some of the pictures from the last week. Some of the last shots were actually shot by our nanny (never thought I'd say those last two words). Among other things she's a decent photographer and she snapped some of these pics a couple of days ago.
We'll start with some shots of the older brother (you never know what you're going to get with a 3.5 year old).
And then a couple of Hans.
Another great picture of the two of them. I hope you won't mind me saying that these are some darn cute boys.
