Henry's Favorite Activities
We haven't been doing a very good job of updating our blog. Henry had a rough week last week and this weekend, partially due to a growth spurt. He just wanted to eat all the time, which meant short sleep stretches for Henry and his parents. The past two nights have been much better and Derek claims he even slept long enough to have a dream! The pictures show some of Henry's favorite things to do--go on walks in his carrier or sling, floor time with Dad and swinging in his swing.

The sleep deprivation is shocking isn't it? I remember waking up after having my first dream when Tyson was a baby and feeling like a new woman! Good for you to realize Henry's needs have changed and meeting him where he is. Things change so quickly and soon you'll be getting a little more sleep. We are in the midst of horrible sleep as well due to teething this time. At least at almost 8 months Mara can pretty much latch herself on and I can doze off while she nurses. Amazing what a difference that can make.
I echo Beth's comments. I remember that first stretch with a dream so well. I couldn't believe it. It was heaven. And then just like that things can change for the better and then for the worse again. Noah has been having some less-than-stellar nights lately too (waking more than once). Who knows what his deal is but if he's next to Mommy (on his floor or in our bed) he's fine. Go figure. (:>) Thanks for keeping up the blog guys. It is so fun to see you two and Henry. ~M
